CELEBRATE- Buy tickets here ($40)!Ten years ago, PCUN made history by creating Oregon’s first union-operated and Latino community radio station—KPCN-LP Radio Movimiento “La Voz del Pueblo.” Radio Movimiento is exponentially expanding the diversity of voices participating in the Latino media in the Woodburn area. They include youth, indigenous people speaking their own language, women, workers, plus progressive leaders from local Latino communities and across Latin America. The majority of the listeners are labor workers, housewives, high school students, kids and adults. Our frequency covers 300 square miles around Woodburn, but you can also hear us just about anywhere via internet. Today Radio Movimiento continues with its mission of raise consciousness, educate, and entertain the community. Since our beginnings we’ve been mainly supported by volunteers who want to make a difference in the community. Arturo Rodriguez (UFW President) and Samuel Orozco (Radio Bilingue) will headline our celebration. Please join us for this important milestone. Thank you. Ramon Ramirez-President of PCUN |
