Job Description Senior Farmworker Outreach Coordinator

Part-time, temporary

25-30 hours per week with office hours

Salary: $15-$17 per hour DOE

Our Mission

To empower farmworkers, and Latinx working families by building community,

increasing representation in elections and systems change at the state and

national levels.

Responsibilities

● Distribute food boxes to Senior Latinx Farmworkers

● Work closely with AWARE Food Bank staff and volunteers

● Drive AWARE Food Bank Truck for food distributions at least once per week.

Distributions are in rural areas, up to a 2-hour round trip.

● Establishing appointments with community members

● Return phone calls

● Taking messages

● Complete over the phone appointments and applications

● Point of contact for the community on application status

● Write and distribute funds to community members

● Work closely with other CBO’s and Alianza Poder

● Establishing good relationships with the community

● Maintaining confidential information

● Attend weekly meetings

● Weekly reporting on applications

● Follow COVID-19 guidelines and protocols

Skills/Requirements

● Bi-lingual, Spanish speaker preferred

● Highly organized

● Good communicator

● Able to meet deadlines

● Works/Collaborates well with others

● Be able to pass a background check to drive AWARE food bank truck

● Works well with spreadsheets

● Is good at record-keeping
