Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Event Planning Support Intern. This position will play a crucial role in assisting with the planning and execution of our upcoming fundraising event. The primary responsibility will be to conduct outreach to potential donors for silent auction materials and beer and wine donations.

Responsibilities:

•Conduct research to identify potential donors, including local businesses, wineries, breweries, and distributors, who may be interested in contributing silent auction items, beer, and wine for our event.
•Develop and maintain a database of potential donors, including contact information and donation preferences.
•Draft personalized outreach emails, letters, and phone scripts to solicit donations, clearly articulating the purpose of our event and the benefits of donating.
•Contact potential donors via email, phone, and in-person visits to present donation opportunities and collect contributions.
•Follow up with donors to provide additional information, answer questions, and facilitate donation pickups or deliveries.
•Coordinate with the event planning team to ensure that donated items are properly recorded, stored, and displayed at the event. As needed, assist with other event planning tasks and logistics, including venue setup, registration, and guest services.
•Provide regular updates to the event planning team on donor outreach progress, including successes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
•Represent our organization professionally and courteously when communicating with donors and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

•Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably focusing on event management, hospitality, marketing, or related fields.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and persuade potential donors.
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
•Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team.
•Proficiency in the GSuite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and experience with database management software are pluses.
•Passion for our organization’s mission and commitment to positively impacting our community.

Duration and Compensation: This is an internship position for four months.
•10 – 20 hours per week
•$1,200 per month stipend
