G Lopez Ixta was born in Apatzingan, Michoacán Mexico. They migrated to Woodburn, Oregon at the age of 5. G started volunteering with PCUN in 2012 and has also been a political and census organizer for PCUN. G is proud to come from a family that has worked the land both in Mexico and in the US. G’s grandparents were braceros in California during the 1960-70s. G’s parents were also farm workers in Watsonville and in Woodburn. G is devoted to the wellbeing of farmworkers. Currently, G is an intern at Capaces, a support specialist at Project Access Now, and is pursuing a Master’s of Public Health in Health Behavior Health Promotion.
