With the slogan “La Voz del Pueblo” (The Voice of the People) – a high powered radio station reaching 350K people in the Mid-Willamette Valley. While this program is no longer housed at PCUN. We change policy on the state and national levels. We advocate for pro-farmworker, and pro-immigrant policy in the state legislature, as well as in congress. PCUN also pushes for change through the circuit and supreme courts – while developing grassroots activists to lead change.
These projects involve national and statewide collaboration around issues such as documenting testimonies from farmworkers, and Latinx working families – in general toxic workplace environments. Healthy Workplaces is a rapid response program supporting workers in toxic workplace and community situations – includes creating healing spaces based on indigenous healing practices, and centering collective wisdom and community care.
We build a voice for Latinx immigrant families by ensuring Latinx voters turnout for BIPOC candidates and issues that aligned with “si se puede” values, dignity, and respect. We believe civic engagement can increase prosperity for immigrants, and people of color across the state. We believe in the power of the people, and in democracy.
