Cassie Purdy

Cassie Purdy (she/her/ella) | Special Projects Director |

Cassie grew up in a large, working class family in Northern California in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. 
Cassie brings with her almost a decade of labor, community, and political organizing experience. She previously worked at the ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties organizing around immigrants rights, criminal justice reform, and police accountability. She also worked at the Oregon AFL–CIO, engaging union members in the electoral process to elect pro-working class candidates to office across Oregon. 
She is currently PCUN’s Special Projects Director, assisting the political department with a number of legislative priorities to advance the power of Latinx working class people in Oregon.
