Marlina Campos (she/her/hers/ella) | Organizing Director marlinacampos@pcun.org

Born in the state of Washington, daughter of Mexican migrant parents and raised most of her school years in Zacatecas Mexico, in a small town called Tlaltenango, where she attended Elementary, middle and High School educación. Marlina then migrated to Lafayette Indiana with most of her mother and siblings where she finished her last year of high school and worked part time as well as the 2 oldest siblings did to help out her mom sustain the household.
Attended and graduated cosmetology school in 2003, is currently licensed to operate in 3 states.

Marlina also has a background of over 7 years working as a Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, human trafficking and stalking Advocate, and family navigator.
Her most recent position was a DV shelter supervisor.
Helping and connecting with the Latino community has always been one of her interests.

Mother of 2 kids and married, greatly values the importance of spending quality time with family as a priority, educate her children to be humble and hard working people.

Marlina considers that is very valuable and important to teach our children our culture, values, ancestors and to alway be proud of our roots and never forget where we come from.
Loves visiting different parts of our beautiful Mexico and share it’s amazing beauty, while also visiting father living there as well.
