Today marks a profound moment for many in Oregon and beyond. With the re-election of Donald Trump, our communities face the renewed threat of mass deportations, exclusion, and the dismantling of worker protections.

We’ve been through this before, and we’ll get through this together again. From 2007 to 2019, we fought alongside many to protect our immigrant families’ rights to Driver’s licenses and to feel safe in their home state of Oregon. We will not allow our hard-fought wins to be taken away from our communities.

Let’s be clear: YOU ARE NOT ALONE in this fight! Our journey has not been easy, but our resolve is unshakeable. Congress’s failure to deliver a pathway to citizenship or protect our communities’ right to organize has deepened tensions and fueled mistrust. Together, we are more than a union.
